    Prop Recommendations

I have an 11 Eyra w/ 250 pro xs and currently running a 27 fury. I will be relocating to southern California and fishing a lot of the lakes that range from 0-2000ft elevation. Should I go with a 26, 25 fury or something completely different. The 27 I currently have works well with just me in the boat. I know this is kind of a broad question, but am looking to get some feedback so I don't break the bank buying a prop.

    Thanks,
    Kyle Smith

We would not suggest a 27 Fury for most uses as the hole shot will suffer. We are sure it runs great on top end, though nowhere else. The 2011 models might run a 26 series, though we would look at a 25 for elevations around 2,000 foot. Above that maybe even a 24 inch. Some people like the Bravo series and then some compromise not needing speed with a Fury 4 or Trophy.

We fish Clear Lake all the way up to Mt and Idaho, from 1000 ft to 2500, most of the Cats up here all running 25 Furies.

I run a 2017 Eyra / 250 ProXs and live at Lake of the Ozarks. Use a 27P Fury in the winter with one vent hole plugged with a large vent plug during this winter and works well. Most other times a 26P fury with 2 plugs, one large and one small, works well. Without the plugs I have two much blow out getting on plane, works for me!

I'm out of the country but I will post some numbers when I get back for the summer months. I cant recall top end (81.9?) and rpm but it was near 5950 or 6k, also still acquiring seat time (not very good at it).

I have a 2018 Eyra with 250 ProXS. Been running a 26p 3 blade Fury with no holes plugged. Plugging them just makes it a dog coming out of the hole. This weekend I tried a 25p Fury 3 blade. Still running 79.5-80mph on top end...just a lot more 'sporty' and lively coming out of the hole and at mid-range. However, it doesn't have as much bow lift as the26p. Previously it was running 5880rpm at 79.5-80 and now it's at 6150rpm for the same speed. Probably could use something between a 25p and 26p ideally....but we feel it's good enough to continue testing with it.

It doesn't matter speed limit on all southern cal lakes is 35 mph and they will write you a ticket.
I always ran a 25 fury but 26 will work.
