new Ultrex-- prop won't spin ?

Buddie called -- just mounted a 112 ultrex I-pilot link..He also added another battery as his was only 24V..
Powered unit up and the lights all work, steering works but prop would not turn when activated with foot button. I had heard there were some that the switch was not aligned right but they would work with remote... I paired the remote and same deal everything seems to work except the prop !!
Any ideas of what's wrong ??

That is correct. And the steering will not work either.

    Motor was deployed.

Did he double check his battery wiring? In other words, did he make sure that he got all three in series together and that two aren't in parallel with each other and the third in series? Just a thought.

He assured me it was but I have not had time to look.-- that's why I mentioned in OP about him adding new battery.. however I don't think that would keep the motor from turning even if it was just getting 12 volts- I believe it would still turn, just much slower. I say this because I've had a battery go bad during a tournament . motor would still run at about half power and SOON ran remaining battery down.

Good point. I hope it is something simple. Good luck.

Since it seems that you have done the troubleshooting that a consumer is able to do, I would suggest taking it to an ASC so they can get a little deeper into it. It could be a wire unplugged in the lower unit due to shipping.

Ok, one of you Gurus turn on the lights for me. My front porch needs some light.

I just installed a new Ultrex i cannot get the foot pedal to run the prop. I can run it with the I Pilot remote and the Hummingbird Graph/chart plotter fine.

My first thought is the switch under on off button needs adjustment. fairly common and can be set while boat is on the trailer with troller deployed.
I don't remember which way it needs to go for no power but a search should find a few threads with detailed info.
