    Finally a good day

Went out this morning with a friend of mine, and even though it started out slow, it turned into a good day of fishing. Think we caught about 12 fish, most of them right around 3lbs. Was really the first good day of fishing I've had this year.

You know better, most of the lakes up in the northern third have quality fish, and spring fishing can be pretty good.

Was nice to get on a bite, lost one about 4 for my first bite at the boat. Thought it would turn into the only bite I got kinda day. Nice to be wrong.

Great news, we all deserve a day like that!
I have had 3 fantastic days in south Tejas. Fished the Gulf, Falcon Lake and yesterday Choke Canyon. Have to take today off to heal. I have never had 2 bass thumbs bloody but it is a good hurt! Will finish the week chasing Reds on the flats.

Joe, that's great better than our day on patoka yesterday. Around 50 boat tournament 12.5lbs won. We came in 2nd with 3 for 11.5lbs. No limits weighed in

Sounds like a great day Joe! I've not even fished in Indiana yet this year. I did go to Georgia and caught some good fish at Lake Lanier a couple of weeks ago, but that only lasted for two days out of the 6 days I was there.

And Brian...you must have had a blast! What a world traveler you've become!

And this morning at salamonie we never had a bite. Not sure why I ever go there (practice for next weeks tournament, which I’ll be shocked if it takes more than 5lbs to win).

Natural lakes almost all fish pretty good up here, some can be tough but the fish are there.

Some guys did that yesterday in our high school tournament at Patoka.....real good role models for our young anglers. Breaking tournament rules and state laws.
And to top it off 11 of over 125 boats brought in fish to weigh. They were all big ones though!
    At least we had 1987....

I’m always surprised DNR doesn’t just sit back there and pull over half the field.
