    Opinion of Lightning rods?

Was at Bass Pro looking for a reasonable new bait casting rod, liked the feel and weight of the Berkley Lightning rods, seems very light and well made for the $40 price tag.

I have not had one for years. But they used to be really good rods for the money. I am sure somebody who has bought one lately will chime in.

Nothing at all wrong with them. They are a great rod for the price.

Great rod for the money, I have used them for years, even won $$$ back in my tournament days using them.

I bought one, really like the handle material, can't wait for it to warm up to give it a try.

I imagine they are still nice rods for the money. Pretty sure I already had mine when I got married. Been married 42 years. Still have the rod and Penn 430SS. Don't grab a spinning rod very often, but it is the one I normally take with me when I do.

Great rod for the money. I think they fish well above their price point.
