    2008 Yamaha HPDI 250 PTT

    Had to change the trim motor on my HPDI, now I have majore air in the system. How the heck do you properly put fluid in this dang thing?

    Here's what I did...
    lower the front of the trailer down so the back of your boat is a little able level... this helps keep the fluid in from running out. I'm assuming you know where the trim fill is at... remove the cap and trim the motor up and down a couple times. Fluid should come out so make sure to put something down to catch it or you'll have a heck of a mess. Put fluid in and trim up and down again. You may need to do this a few times. It will help get any air out of the system. Also, if you don't have pump/hose you can use a big injector needle and syringe..

    Trim all the way up. Put fluid in with a big syringe, a cheap meat injecting syringe from the dollar store, until full. Release the outboard with the manual release screw and let slowly fall. Wait a few minutes for the air bubbles to pop, and repeat, over and over.
