C rig weight when not using rod?

How do you stop a c rig weight from sliding up/down and breaking eyelets when your not casting it?

I put a mesh rod cover over it. Holds the sinker tight enough that it doesn't rattle around.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

I made a wrap that goes around the weight and then folds over the rod to hold it in place. It’s kinda like the old pig saver we used to keep pork trailers soft.

I found some Velcro that is hooks on one side and loops on the other about a 2.25" strip wraps around the rod loops down, do it next to the swivel and it can't move, my issue happened while it was twisted line/ and between use and sitting on the deck... so sad it took a 3 hour old rod out! Thanks for the input

I use a 4-6" length(s) of foam pipe insulation to keep weights and lures in place when stored.

i shore fish alot with a c rig and hated when that weight keeps moving and banging on my rods so i just use a small velcro and put it right above the weight. Works very well, when im ready to fish it, i just remove the velcro and put it in my pocket.

I like this idea as well but it would be in my rod cover?

I per tie C-rig using 2 swivels and 2 beads with weight in between. Also i use some old braided line. Anyway by using the 2 swivel set up its easier to cast and keeps weight from hitting rod tip. I have used this setup over 20 yrs and have showed alot of co-anglers and most start using it also. Hope this helps you out.
