    Prop Blow Out Possible Cause?

Is it possible the gap between the step on the prop lip and the lower unit is causing my prop to blow. The blow out is occurring at speeds of 40 or more when I attempt to trim up past 1/4 trim.

    Thanks,
    Gabe

I should have specified that the first pic is of the old prop I had replace with not gap and the second is of the new prop with gap.

You might want to buy a better made propeller . I run a ballistic prop on one of my duck boats because there cheap stainless steel prop and I know I'm going to beat them up in the dark . A Yamaha prop ,tempest or even a Fury will be more durable .

What boat are you running it on? I see you don't have a jack plate and you may be running it too high prop to pad mounted in the center hole instead of the second hole down. You can't run a motor high with out a plate.
