Alpha Angler DSR for Ned Rig?

Just ordered a AA DSR during the tax sale. Jacked about getting it for a trip to St Clair next month and will hopefully gain some confidence drop shotting.

Has anyone used this rod for the Ned Rig? Seems like the action is suited for it and possibly small hair jigs and tubes as well.

I just received my Wrench during their sale. For me strictly weightless/neko, tubes and blade baits for sure. I like a lighter/moderate power rod for DS though some Great Lake guys prefer stouter rods especially casting a DS rig instead of vertical fishing.
