Very little or no rooster tail??

I know an excessively high roosterttail is wasted energy but does a very low or no roostertail mean you're close to dialed in??

Long and low is what you want. When the kitty's skint back and running best, there will be virtually no rooster tail at all and my "side spray" is going straight out the back of the boat.
