OK, so I like what their doing with the new hooks and all. Particularly like the resin filled gap on the eyes. I've been phasing out all of my Gamakatsu's over the past couple years, as I'm sick of rolling the point's on them so easy. Anybody else like the VMC's? I've got Owner and some Trokar too but I'm done buying Gamakatsu anything, at least for now.
I’m ok with VMC. I won’t use Owner at all. pay top dollar to have the tips roll no thanks!! I also use a lot of Mustad Ultra Points.
I like VMC hooks, I use some of the worm hooks as well as drop shot and jig and spinnerbait hooks. The VMC Cone Cut Barbarian is similar to a Mustad Ultra Point and they hold up well for fishing rocks which is a lot of what I do.
Like them better than any others and Ive never had a problem with the point rolling over.
We use them in footloose and as flipping hooks. Very good hooks.
I ama slow learner but I can tell you I am sold on the VMC nekobfor drop shot senko. You look at em and they'll stick ya
