    2007 Ranger 520VX Tour Edition w/ 225 Mercury Optimax -- Estimated Value

I am starting to look around at some newer boats. I have a 2007 Ranger 520VX Tour Edition Dual Console with a 225HP Mercury Optimax engine. Engine has 300 hours and runs great. No mechanical work has been done on the engine. I bought the boat 4 years ago and it only had 70 hours on it at that time. The boat has the Tour Edition paint scheme along with the other extras that come with the Tour Edition. Boat is VERY CLEAN and has a newer Fortrex 80lb 45" MinnKota Trolling motor. It has new Humminbird Helix units (12" at console on RAM and 10" upfront). It has dual powerpoles (6') that were installed last year new. I just put two new fenders on the trailer and the tires are only 2 years old. Engine has maintenance at the beginning of every year.

Any ideas of what the boat would b worth on the open market. I've done a little looking but there aren't a lot of '07 520's out there and I can't find any Tour Editions.

Brent. My credit union loans on boats based on nada average retail. Looked it up on nadaguides.com and came up with $25365 for boat, motor, and trailer. That does not include electronics or any other upgrades.

I'm in the same shape as you as far as current boat. And unfortunately the upgrades you mentioned are expected and will help it stay on value but won't add anything. It sucks I know but it's just the way I see it when you look at boats in our year range.

Somewhere around 25k sounds right. I traded a 06 z20 with 870 hrs in last year and got 22,500 on trade. They priced it at 26k and it sold in about a month. Now I do not know what they actually sold it for but that's where it was priced.

3rd stickie from bottom, “What’s my boat worth?” I agree with Ghost that such questions, well-intentioned though they may be, can be handled in a way that doesn’t impinge on the business of BBC (yes, it is a business). Feel free to post your question and ask specifically for PM replies, for example. Thanks. —JC
