    No more 2 strokes?

    That’s what it looks like to me.

    i read this morning that Mercury was running some V8 4.5 and 4.8 on Lake X. Seems to me as though there will be no more 2 strokes around in a couple years unless they still make some racing motors.

    I believe the Optimax is almost done.

    Visit the Merc 4 stroke forum (3rd one below this one), lot of discussion there.

    I'll add I've also read a post by Don in one of the other forums the Optimax has been discontinued and in this post he said the 4cyl Verado "is done".
