    New Cables Installed

Well I got my NFB Steering Cables in last week. I like em but still getting use to em. There's a lot of years of running the old style under my belt. The NFB is pretty sweet. 13 foot was perfect for my 202 with a 6 inch plate. They didn't need to pull the engine to swap em out. Thanks for the help from the BBC folks "steering" me in the right direction.

Can you get a NFB system with a tilt helm?

Is that different than hydraulic ? I guess maybe so since it is cable operated. Is NFB better or more desirable than hydraulic , or is it just personal preference ?

I prefer cables so just upgraded to the NFB. It's nice, you can let go of the wheel and not go flying. And $400.00 rather than twice that for hydro and I'm a tight ass.

I don't enjoy driving a boat that'll really run with hydraulic, you absolutely lose a lot of feel.

I also just replaced my steering cables and helm on my champ. I wanted to go with hydraulic but just couldn’t swing it. Installed the nfb pro dual cable system and it is sweet.

i was told by a guy at sea star that the nfb system was designed to eliminate torque steer and keep the wheel from jerking when you make a hard turn. I don’t feel like I’ve lost any feel with the nfb system.

I like my no feed back steering and you do lose some of the feel but not like you would with hydraulic steering.
