    2005 Vmax ox66

Going to look at a 2005 Stratos 20 proxl with a 2005 225 Vmax 3.1 on the back. Going to have a compression check done on it. What numbers should I be looking for? I am unfamiliar with Yamaha motors. Anything else I should have checked out?
    Thanks

They all should be within a 10lbs or so of each other. Depending on HP I would expect 90-120 and elevation, temp, throttle opening, gauge ect ect will affect the reading. CJ

Make sure it is checked with the engine warm, all plugs removed, and throttle plates open.

One other thing look inside the pan under the Dowling and will good idea if it was kept up. From oil and pine tags and leaves. Ox 66 if maintained are solid motors and easy to do maintenance yourself if mechanically inclined and parts are cheaper.
    Keep us posted!

Compression numbers came back at 100 for cylinders 1-5. Cylinder 6 gave 95psi. These numbers ok?

If anything you might do a engine decarb and it will give you peace of mind just in case it has carbon buildup o. The heads and rings. I do mine as added service to make it last longer.
