I am looking at upgrading my current graph. Using a gen 1 hds. Was looking at the echo map plus and a lowrance gen 3 with the lss2. I know the gen3 r being phased out here shortly. Is there anyone who had or uses both and which one would be a better fit.

Well, i'm not sure either....i actually purchased the 93sv Plus unit and installed on the bow....i have a Gen 2 10" (console) and Gen 3 9" (bow) and removed the 9 to try out the Plus. IMO its a NICE unit for the money. One issue is that i wish they made it in a 10" and 12" size....with the recent update it made it ethernet capable with other Plus units, can use the new Ultra HD, which puts in in line with the HDS units (probably minus some options).....all i could say is buy it and give it a try....with all the electronics and their options these days, its hard to make a decision.....if money was not object and i could pick it off my trees in the back yard, i'd make the full switch to Garmin and give them a try.
