Older Humminbird unit service

Is there any place that will service older Humminbird units like 898c? I’m having a shut down issue, Thanks for any help!

Both versions of 898 are not listed on the Humminbird flat-rate repair list anymore.

I had a lose power wire. It didn’t fix the issue, thanks for the info.

Kinda surprised they dropped repair of the 898 since other of the 98 series are still being repaired. Here is a link to the flat rate repair table.... https://www.humminbird.com/faqDetail.aspx?id=1477

If you know someone else who has a core SI unit that is not a mega unit, you could try your unit on their boat just to make absolutely sure you don't have something wrong with your wiring.

If Humminbird is not doing repairs on the 898,I myself would start shopping for a Helix 9,10 or 12 to replace it not really worth putting the money into it.But that's me not sure how much you like it.
