Garmin 72sv down vue

My down view is so dark can't make it out in the day time...i have the brightness turned up and i have turned contrast up and down and this is suppose to be amber but it still shows dark red or whatever color.Took this picture in the dark with my phone.

Is depth on auto?

I'd question the depth also? Looks like your zoomed in at top of water column or something of that nature.

That picture is with boat sitting on trailer in the yard and i took it when it was dark outside, just using as a reference as to the dark color when in the water..doesnt seem to matter what color i choose it's the same color and you can't see any details.

Set unit to defaults. If not better call Garmin

Could it be you hit the power button and turned the screen down - asking as I did that with mine....i'll go take a look see what I did to fix.

Found what I did, check your backlight settings - a light tap on the power button brings them up (and conveniently turns them down, making the unit very hard to read/see anything on. Thought I'd broken mine when I did that)

They can also be found in settings>system>display>backlight

I just put it in simulation mode and it looked ok after i did some changes so we will see in a few days when i go back out.
