I just use blue painters tape and use a permanent marker to label the line weight. I put the tape on a portion of the rod butt where I rarely handle it. I've had them stay on for almost two years and were readable. Easy to take off and no glue residue.

Johnson&Johnson waterproof bandage tape. (Walgreens or Walmart) It’s white in color and a black sharpie marker. Works perfect

Pretty much what I do but with colored electrical tape, one wrap on the reel handle.

Livestock tag markers. Made to last. Buy them at co-ops, tractor supply, etc.

Re Phone app; Google Sheets; keeping track etc. etc. All of that would require me to get organized. It hasn't happened in 78 years so far. I don't hold out much help. Ha Ha rich

Label maker.. I put 10m for 10 mono. 10t for ten tatsu etc.

I also label all my rods for what I mainly want them rigged with so I dont end up with 5 rods with the same stuff, they stay on great depending where you put them on the rod if you USE the 1/4 inch tape.... the half inch wide they ship it with has a hard time staying on.
