    Plunging a drilled 2.5

I have a 1995 2.5 promax. It has been drilled just above the lower unit. I was looking at it to see about plugging those holes. Can the holes be plugged with out pulling the lower and mid?

You can smear em full of silicone. We tapped those holes once to have removable screws, but the mid was apart.

Well my lower unit went out and in the process of fooling with it I decided to plug the 10 holes drilled into my mid section. Took some sand paper to the inside and the some brake cleaner. Then I got a pack of quick steel (jb weld?) and pressed into tjecholes. Two trips to the lake and so far so good.
