I wonder if you could drill new holes (in the trolling motor base) to match the ones already in your boat?

It's definitely not the same. I just replaced an Edge with an Ultrex. Had to drill...

Not what I wanted to hear either. Wonder what is the best option holes in the boat or Ultrex mount.

Holes were simple to drill. I'm filling in the others with some black silicone. I actually got to use one of the old ones to snake the power cable for the heading sensor through.

no big deal. Just silicone the old holes. They'll be covered by new mount or anti slip material on bow anyhow.

    I agree with this...

But if it makes you feel better...patch the holes from behind, use some good body filler, sand them smooth and touch up the area with matching paint.

Aren't there extra holes in the mount under the side plate?
