    Question Prop height

You often hear that a certain prop likes to be run high, while another likes to be run low. Does that change according to the boat/motor combo, or is that something inherent in that particular prop? With that said, would someone post props that like to be run on the high side as opposed to those that like to be run on the low side?

It depends on the boat and motor.

If you run a large diameter prop at a certain height, and switched to a prop with a smaller diameter, you would likely have to lower the motor to compensate for the smaller diameter.

So you're basically saying large diameter props are run higher than small diameter props. And here I was thinking just the opposite.

As a generality yes, but as stated, the boat and motor are factors as well.
