    Battery recommendation

I am looking to purchase a new cranking battery which also runs my electronics and live wells. The one that's in there now is a interstate cranking 24m-xhd, 800 CCA-1000 MCA .
Problem being I installed another 12hds (now I have two installed) and the battery seemed to drain quicker than usual. I am concerned during tournaments that with the live well on and the graphs I will run out of juice (during electric only tournaments).
    Any recommendations would be appreciated.

What motor do you have? You need 1000 mca minimum to turn over a Pro Xs. I found out the hard way with a small battery that running multiple newer graphs and livewells, that I'd only get about half a day fishing. I got a Batteries Plus X2 power group 31 agm a year ago and haven't had an issue since. The thing is a beast!

300 bucks is a little steep right now since I just bought the 12. What's a good second recommendation?

You will spend more money in a short amount of time unless you get a quality cranking battery like the x2

Napa commercial battery. Best I've used. Tons of power and exceeds all the requirements for the ProXs. Highly praised on here. Plus it's only $155.

I only have a 150hp proxs and 8 inch graph. I went with the group 27 size from batteries plus. Works well but you likely need the group 31. The Napa commercial battery mentioned in prior post is getting good reviews. I assume it is a low cost traditional battery but have not read the posts on it

Wallmart everstart group 29MAX. The max part is key not for the specs but because they give free replacement for 2 years not pro rated!!! Use it for one year 1st sign of it not holding a charge or a slow start bring it back and get a new one at no cost. A fresh group 29 will do what the big 31amg's, take it from someone who has used both. Also I don't know about you but every tournament I fish a Wallmart is less then a hours drive away and like I said no hassle free replacement.

There is a reason people are telling you to get certain batteries, we have experience with failed situations lol the X2 has a 4 year warranty, $300 is a great investment with a 4 year warranty. Heck it's probably more warranty than your engine came with.

Don’t be cheap when it comes to the batteries. X2 is only way to go! If you think your gonna get a RELIABLE battery to do what you want with all you have said your gonna be spending $300. Just sayin! Don’t skimp on the battery you will 100% regret it. You asked for the recommendation and about 5 people are telling you the same thing. I’d listen and pony up the cash!
