I know two 93sv's plus models share with a ethernet cable any reason to run a data sharing cable at the same time? What does the two data wires do exactly? Thanks

No need with ethernet. They're there if you have an older Echomap and want to share waypoints.
so the new Plus models also come with the data cable to share waypoints with the last gen chirp models? thats good to know if they do because after reading their description i was under the impression that they couldnt.
thanks

Because they are NMEA0183 compatible. You are confusing NMEA0183 with High Speed Protocol. Both communications use those additional wires on the unit PWR cables. The older echoMAPs share wpts with High Speed Protocol, not NMEA0183. Plus models only share wpts via Ethernet, and only with other Plus units (also won't share with GPSMAP products).

Ahh, thanks for the info.
