    Smallie Club

So gotta tell everyone that Saturday I was inducted into the smallie club. Caught my first one, followed by 3 more. Put those with a large mouth and finished 3rd in the Bassers tournament. Lake James looks like it would be a great place to fish, but damn what a drive. I was worn out Sunday when I got home. As usual big shout out to my roommate. Lookn forward to Kerr now.

That is a long drive for certain. I think I fished there once before back in 2012 maybe?? Caught one little smallie and a few large mouth. I keep saying I'm going back some day and try to get on the smallies. Good job Eddie.

If I fished to live.....I'd starve to death!

I’m going to go Saturday as long as I get my boat back. Did you see many on beds?

Congrats!!! Never caught one myself but saw a club tourney weigh-in at Gaston lake a few years back and the winners had 5 that took the money. Never seen a smallmouth there personally and never would have believed that. It was in late Feb or early March.

We decided to quit two hour early because of the storm so we were going to weigh in at 12. At 11:40 the heavens opened and buckets of water fell from then all through the weigh in. There was probably 3 inches of water running through the parting lots, bilge pumps were coming on about every 2-3 minutes filling other peoples boats up with water. Then when we got on I-40 it did the same thing for about forty miles, people pulling over on the shoulder, some driving slowly in the right lane with their flashers on and even a fool in the left lane with her flashers on and talking on her cell phone
