When I looked into it basically you do it about like you would a crankbait. D2T as a topcoat as well. I need to experiment very soon.

I have several frogs that a well-known painter did for me - back before you couldn't get a sexy shad or bluegill colored frog - when I went back to him - he had stopped and said that the paints he had to use for the plastic frogs were very toxic and harder to ventilate so he stopped painting them - so I guess I have some collectors items -

That being said - there is a place online - Stankx Lures - which offers custom painted frog so they have a way to do it...

No, that paint will not stick to the vinyl/rubber or whatever the frogs are made of. I have every color they make. Works really well on actual soft plastic swim baits though.

I don't paint many crankbaits and have never worked with Devcon. Is it flexible? Would have to be extremely flexible for hollow frog application.

It works is all I can say from the ones I have seen. Go easy on the thickness.

Good deal. I will spray with createx and finish with 2t. Will post results.

Sanded lightly and painted with createx. Finished with Devcon 2T. After 24 hours it was flexible but peeled off pretty easily. May be a trick to it but it didn't work for me.
