    Little help from Triton owners

Hey guys looking at a 2004 TR21 I have never been in a triton or ridden in one what should I expect from the boat performance wise, and anything I should be looking for?

With the right setup it will run like a RAPED GORILLA!!

You will have to learn to drive it.

+1. An 04 should be a TR-21X one of the best boats they made

Boat in my sig was repowered 2 years ago. Ran right at 70 with the stock 225 Opti and has touched 78 with the new 250 Pro XS. Great boat. You do have to learn to drive it.

They do. I currently own an 08 model. This is my 2nd 196. One of the best running boats they made. Large enough to handle most anything while handling like a sports car. They will run low to mid 70's with some driver input. Mine ran 74.3 GPS last Friday, still working on set up. This was fishing load and 3/4 tank fuel.

I had an 04 TR196 with a 200hp 3.0L EFI. I loved that boat. It would out run many other manufacturers 20ft boats rigged with 225's. The only other 19 footer I've been in as fast as a T196 is a Bass Cat Pantera 2.

Got an 05 TR-20 here I've had it in some pretty nasty water at times with no complaints. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Good luck.

Looks like it was well taken care of. Get the motor checked. Looks like a good boat. Especially if you can talk him down at all and the motor checks out. You would be a happy buyer with that set up if its all good.

    I have a 2002 TR-19. You will love it. $18K seems a little high though. I'd say $15K.

Also, be aware that the TR-19 has a slightly narrower deck than the TR-196 or and X series boat. Not saying it's not a great boat, just want you to be aware that it is not quite as wide as a later model on the front.

Just for reference, i paid 14.5k for a beautiful tr21 bmc edition 2 seasons ago with an hpdi 250. So the price is a bit high. But, it does look like its in great condition. Just make sure to get the motor checked!
