With the right setup it will run like a RAPED GORILLA!!
You will have to learn to drive it.
Ok thanks guys were the transoms solid I have no knowledge of how the boats are made or what with?

Boat in my sig was repowered 2 years ago. Ran right at 70 with the stock 225 Opti and has touched 78 with the new 250 Pro XS. Great boat. You do have to learn to drive it.

Well went today and it was sold by the time I got there what’s everyone’s opinions on a tr 196 do they ride pretty good for their size?
They do. I currently own an 08 model. This is my 2nd 196. One of the best running boats they made. Large enough to handle most anything while handling like a sports car. They will run low to mid 70's with some driver input. Mine ran 74.3 GPS last Friday, still working on set up. This was fishing load and 3/4 tank fuel.
Here’s the add what do you guys think?https://joplin.craigslist.org/boa/d/...553321933.html
I had an 04 TR196 with a 200hp 3.0L EFI. I loved that boat. It would out run many other manufacturers 20ft boats rigged with 225's. The only other 19 footer I've been in as fast as a T196 is a Bass Cat Pantera 2.
Got an 05 TR-20 here I've had it in some pretty nasty water at times with no complaints. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Good luck.

Looks like it was well taken care of. Get the motor checked. Looks like a good boat. Especially if you can talk him down at all and the motor checks out. You would be a happy buyer with that set up if its all good.
Boat looks mint, jump on it
Thanks guys he’s a couple hours from me gonna look at it this weekend
I have a 2002 TR-19. You will love it. $18K seems a little high though. I'd say $15K.
I thought it was a little night to but it is a 08 motor
Also, be aware that the TR-19 has a slightly narrower deck than the TR-196 or and X series boat. Not saying it's not a great boat, just want you to be aware that it is not quite as wide as a later model on the front.
Just for reference, i paid 14.5k for a beautiful tr21 bmc edition 2 seasons ago with an hpdi 250. So the price is a bit high. But, it does look like its in great condition. Just make sure to get the motor checked!
