Having Bassfan say someone is number 1 is like having Kirk Herbstreit say Ohio St is number one. Doesn't have much credibility except to the person saying it.

I’m going by what bassfan says. If you look what he has done the past couple years then it’s not hard to see.

Bass fan would be the gold standard if it were an elite #1.

A person would have to have their head buried pretty deep to not recognize Thrift as the best in the business right now.

You have to beat the best to be the best. I don't think he is doing that.

I agree....I equate it to boise state going undefeated and shouting "national champions."

Yep I kind of agree too. He may very well be the best right now, but do it on the elite series and get back with me.

If anybody thinks Thrift can’t hang with the top fishermen in Bass they’re crazy. The man isn’t winning because he doesn’t have the talent for sure. He’s as good as they come right now anywhere.

I'd like to see a top 10 FLW vs top 10 Elite Series.

We used that have that and BASS made it their own, the Toyota tourney used to feature the best of both.

Absolutely. Nobody said that he couldn't hang. In fact, I think he would do well on the Elites, I just don't think he'd be nearly as dominant.

Texas bass classic does that. I’m pretty sure thrift won it one year.

I would say he would rather get 125K for a win vs 100K.
