    i bought a revo rocket spinning reel

    and it came with three extra? plastic washers, looks like they go behind the spool, so what are they for?

    They are to adjust the line lay on the spool. Read the instructions that came with the reel and it will give you the specifics.

    Yep, Helps you fine tune to get a slight cone shape on the line.

    I got a new MGX. Had to use all three to make the line wind level

    You bought the reel new and it had zero literature? That's bizarre.

    Just for general information, when you wind line on, if it stacks to the top, you will want to add a washer under the spool. If it stacks to the bottom, you will want to remove one. As stated above, You want a very slight conical shape when you fill the spool. This will aid in casting. There should be different thickness of washers to help fine tune the line lay.
