    New Johnsonville

We are fishing Kentucky lake this week. We have never fished the New Johnsonville area. Is it worth fishing that area, any reports? Thanks in advance.

Bass fishing is really off around New Johnsonville from what it has been in recent years. Why? maybe it's the weather we've had, but the carp are probably the major reason. The concentrations of carp are just unreal everywhere I go down there.

Anyone know why there isn't any grass anymore? Is it because of the carp or what?

My theory is there are so many carp just constantly non stop swimming along the bottom are not allowing the grass to grow. Kind of like a 4-wheeler trail that’s driven over all the time no grass grows there. That’s what the carp are doing to the bottom. Just my opinion.
