I have/still am battling this twist in the cable too. I can get it to lay more flat to the left, but I have to push the cable over while deploying the motor so the cable doesn't hang on front of now graph. Turning the pedal over once will make it lay over the top of the bow graph like Troy's does. I like that ok, but it will also stand up tall off the bow when deployed, but I may just have to get used to that. Haven't made up my mind which way works for me better... guess I need to go back fishing more often to figure it out!!

You might also post this in the humminbird forum.... it might get more responses and tips since lots of the humminbird users also have Minn kota motors.
