Prop ?

Hey guys I got a 23 m prop in trade and my older 25 4 blade has castatled hub insert. Any one know the merc part number that I need for this 23 m prop to work correctly thanks

The 23 m prop has a merc hub but it needs a spacer or a piece to keep the hub tight my brother a former merc mechanic said its a castleated piece of somthing

Wat exactly are those pieces Bruce this is all so new to me so sorry for your dumb questions.

I just googled it..the big washer is the bottom thrust washer which goes under the prop the other brass piece goes on top of prop hub then the locking ring then the nut. But part number for that says for up to a 140 horse motor, i know on my 23m that top piece doesnt have the inner lip in it just above the splines. I see on facebook you called Steves propshop and that is probably the best way to go they should be able to help you.

Yes I left him a message. Three the prop back on and the prob I am running into is I run out of threads when the prop is on. I can’t get it right so
msybe a spacer is wat I need?

Well i know on my 23m that bottom washer has to go on with the raised part towards the prop as it fits inside of the hub. Make sure your hub accepts the raised part i there is no recess in the prop hub then you will need a flat washer. My trophy prop takes a flat washer and the 23m would still go on though...make sure you only have one washer behind prop.

OK both of the hubs are pressed in I know that

Got her figured out and tested her today rpm was 5900 ran 64.5 gps on light load she was screaming and had great lift. Thoroughly impressed with this prop hole shot never changed at all from the 4 blade to this 3 blade maybe faster. Thanks

the help guys speed I went from 59-60 up to 64 and still had a lil left

I needed the castleated nut I stead of just a regular one!! Lol simple lil fix with the help of u guys thanks again
