    Ok too drill around....

The trolling motor pedal. I’m sure it is just want too double check.

Do we need nuts underneath? Or strong enough too hold 9” hummingbird with mount?

its fine to drill but personally I would use 1/4" stainless machine screws with fender washers and lock nuts underneath for mounting,

gotcha, might want to use 1/4" lag bolts, if you go with screws I would step up to a #10 or #12

I have no idea how some people can install the nuts on those bolts unless it’s done by the factory before they put the top cap on the hull when they wire everything else in the boat but i know that that’s not possible since the finish work is all done before they even install these brackets, like the carpet and trolling motor itself. I recently installed my ultrex and had to remove my precision sonar bracket. I backed the nuts off until they almost came off the bolts and had maybe 2” of play. I pulled the bracket up and made just enough room to pull my fortrex pedal through and then slide the ultrex one down in. Then I tighten the bracket back down. I taped a wrench to the end of a breaker bar about 3ft long and reached up the rod lockers to do it.
