Will my rpms change if I lower my jackplate?

Wondering if I can get my rpms to drop if I lower my jackplate 1/4 inch?

Unless your prop is cavitating then there should be a slight drop. If cavitation then drop will be more due to hookup if 1/4" is enough.

Depends on if the high rpm's are caused by prop slip then yes but if it's under propped it may not make any difference. What's your setup boat, motor, prop?

If it was mine I'd be running a 25" tempest set at 3.25 under. You have too much slip so drop it down a 1/4". If it's new you can probably trade in back to Mark for a 25.

If the 24 Raker was faster why don't you run the raker? A 24 Razer 4 is going to be slower

And, depending of how fast you go, the handling can get worse when you drop the motor. If you don't get up on pad, very little effect except a small drop in RPM and speed.

Holeshot, raker does good in springwhen it's cool , once it's hot and muggy the razor does better out of the hole
