Has an interesting project and request. Her message:

"I am working on a citizen science project called Deep Lake Explorer. The goal of the project is to enable the public to help classify underwater video collected in the Great Lakes coastal areas for invasive species and habitat characteristics. We have developed an application called Deep Lake Explorer that is in the early stages of testing.

It is a pilot project in several ways – it’s the first project of its kind that the EPA has ever done, and it’s one of the first projects of its kind using video (most other similar projects use photos/imagery). We are hoping to show that this kind of project drastically reduces cost and effort to have a similar number of scientists review the videos while still maintaining data quality.

It would be really helpful if you could take about 10-15 minutes to check out the application and give me any feedback on how easy it was to use and understand, and if you have any technical difficulties. It should work on a phone or computer."

The link is here, and it should be self explanatory given a short amount of concentration:

Knowing that the BBC Lounge is chock full of citizen scientists, no doubt we can supply some feedback for her to view right here.
