CONSIDERING A PROP CHANGE

Considering changing props and not sure what to go with. Here is my current set up:

20' Rocket Dual Console Boat ( boat weighs about 1300 pounds lite)
200 V Max Yamaha (2 stroke carb motor)
10" Atlas Jackplate
Stock lower unit
25M Yamaha prop
1" Below the pad

With normal weight, half a tank in live well, tackle, 3/4 tank of fuel, 24 volt trolling motor and me at 220 pounds i am running about 72 mph @ 6000 rpms with good lift and stability. Very little driving needed.

Issue is my prop is pretty beat up and i am sure they may take a little off the blades to redo it. Was considering switching to a Tempest Plus but im not sure. What would be a good substuite
for this M25 cause i cant seem to find one anywhere new...........

If you’re happy with the 25 M,then have it refurbished. To put it back to new specs,they will actually add some metal to it,if it’s ground down. A good prop shop won’t just grind it down to make it smooth.

Hit up Brian at Holeshot Propeller, he is in LA and has some experience with Rocket boats... he sent me pics last year or so of one he was helping a customer with... might have been you for all I know haha. But if not, his input would be a great!

Thanks for the advice. I will hit Brian up and see what he has in mind.

I sure wasn't me, i just bought this boat about 3 months ago. Best purchase i made in a long time.
