    Hull repair on 1978 BassTracker

Howdy. I have a bad habit of dragging the bow of my 16 ft BassTracker up on launch ramps while I'm launching. It is starting to wear on several of the 5 keels, and I've patched a couple of them with JB Marine weld to stifle leaks.
Is there a keel protector I could install on this semi-V? If I get it sprayed with that truck bed protector as someone suggested, I'm concerned that will scrape off eventually, and slow the boat with more friction (I run only a 9.9 hp).
Any suggestions are welcome, thanks, m

With a 9.9, you aren't going to lose much speed to extra drag. You could try a different coating, like Durabak. Available in a smooth finish, without the texture like bedliner.
