Caught another nice one. We have this little lake called Jocassee in SC. Has a big one or two in it.

Haha! Sometimes you gotta dive in! But no get coat to worry about on this one. But so far so good on no scratches. I dont expect that to last long tho.

No, caught this one on a shakey head about 10' deep.Water temp only 55 still. Beds all over right now tho, and all empty!! They are just now fanning and only small bucks. This is an ultra clear mountain lake with immediate drops to 20-30' right off the banks. They have to bed on shelves and rocks and other weird spots. I am going back saturday. I expect to see fat females everywhere! It should be like a mesican titty bar with this warm weather coming! Cant wait!

It's been pretty good down here lately. 7+ lber nearly every trip, 50lb flathead on a $20 chatterbait and possibly busted the state spotted/smallie hybrid record. Now if we could just get these stiff cold fronts to stop coming every Saturday.

^^^ no kidding!!! It wasn't too bad today, if the water temperature would just stop fluctuating so much, bed fishing would be great

I did manage to catch my best ever smallie saturday out of Lake Jocassee. Same lake as the original fish pic. Tried to catch an 8+ LM for over an hour off a bed. SHe bit a few times but i couldnt hook up.
I love to catch a big smallmouth tho!

Good point!! lol. I had my woman with me on saturday. Hated to just keep her from fishing. I had already spent another hour on a 4lber earlier. :)
