    ANOTHER ULTREX QUESTION

    Okay reading bids and pieces on the cable problem on the earlier units , mine has already in the shop for a cable break but of course my buddy bought his last spring same time as me and now is worried about his cables breaking it does rein your day I know that , but he's now wondering can he take it in and have it replaced or checked out before they do break, to a dealer ASC , also if they break your on the water can the remote be used to keep using it .

    Yes, regarding the remote. You can inspect the cable ends at the servo motor by detaching a small plate near the end of the cable; it should expose a wire connector, undo the connector and remove two screw under the connector. This will expose the area where the cable ends stop. Look for any broken wire strands. After examining the area take whatever steps you feel are necessary (have repaired with newer model cables or keep fishing).
