    Speaking of props

I have a really nice Trophy setting on the shelf. The problem is one of the blades decided he was not a team player and he went out on his own. So now I have a 3 blade Trophy. What should I do? Scrap metal? Keep it as a reminder and a conversation piece? Or weld a new blade on, sale it to A ranger owner because they couldn’t tell a difference running it over a brand new one?

Yes weld and run it on you Bullet because it's sooo fast you don't need a perfect prop.

    I'd give Mark Croxton a call (317)398-9294

Croxton will not weld a new blade on.

Some of those Rangers are so fast they wouldn't know a blade was missing. I couldn't tell you how many people have came up to me at the gas pump and told me about his brothers, cousins, girlfriends, dads buddies, nephew who had a Ranger that would run some ridiculous number. They ask me how fast mine will run and I just say about 50. Then the stories start.

You defiantly don’t need to weld and entire blade on .... Conversation piece at best...

Ha ha ha! It’s funny how that works. I have 2 good friends that I fished with years ago who have went through every cookie cutter boat made. All I hear I’m not worried about speed. Speed doesn’t mean anything to me. They buy boats that come with a 150hp and then a year later here comes a 200 hp and yes you guessed it 225 then 250hp. The reason I know is because after each motor they are calling me telling me how fast this one will run. Then next call a few months later it was the call asking about props. Oh yeah speed doesn’t matter I forgot!!

I think the main thing is you can not run it on the surface. It appears as you are unloading and loading the blade as it comes over the top is what gets them. If you keep it buried, it holds up better. So I have been told.

What model Bullet and motor are you running? Just curious are you running the motor real high on the jack plate?
