    Max RPMs increased

    I have a Mercury xr6 150, it used to run around 5600 rpms, yesterday after changing lower end oil rpms jumped to around 6600. Any ideas what could have caused this? Bad tac, slipped hub, any insight would be appreciated.

    likely tach problem, or speed would increase dramaticly

    Thank you, was what I was thinking, no overall increase in speed, but idles correctly at around 1000 rpm

    have seen um where you could bump on face and would go back to correct reading
