I've been a Lowrance(HDS 12 Gen 3 and a HDS 9 currently) guy for years but have pretty much decided on trying a Helix Mega 12 with side imaging and down imaging. I want to use the lakemaster maps and hear great things about the side imaging. I will move my HDS 12 to the front (I know it will be a pain with the Helix not communicating with the HDS 12) and install the Helix 12 in the dash. Is there a transducer that I should consider installing other than the standard transducer that comes with the unit for either better Side Imaging or better sonar?
