    Love the pre-spawn.....Thursday 4-5-18

Paul and I got a late start yesterday. Didn't launch until noon. Water temp at the Big Bay ramp was 50.7*. We fished Big Creek pretty hard for 3 or 4 hours but couldn't find any warmer water than at the ramp. Finally decided to take a little boat ride and found some 55* water. We found a handful of fat female kentuckies and smallies that were in the mood to bite. They were so full of eggs they were about to pop. Hope the weather and the water warms up quick so they can get down to business.....

I need to head down there soon. I haven't been on Stockton for about 4 years. What part of the lake should I focus on if I want to try to catch some smallies?
