Can anyone out there share a link for me on the Ultrex wiring installation on a Phoenix boat? I searched and can't find one but I know it is out there. I am thinking about buying an Ultrex and want to go over the power wiring first. Thanks.

HAHA. I was more talking about the hole where the wires go. I heard the access is small and might need to be made bigger. Am I off on that or is it easy access?
You run the black and red from the foot pedal thru a small hole and it goes on the junction block which is in plain view. Once you remove the cover which you clearly havent done.
You have to put your arm thru a 3.5-4 inch hole to BOLT the ultrex to your boat or UNBOLT whatever your removing.
I find that hole to be plenty large but I suppose a clumsy old fat fingered guy sure would not!! Not saying thats you BUT maybe thats who you HEARD "the access was small and might need to be made bigger" from.....

Got it. Now I am clear. I have had my hand in that hole before checking the nuts on the mount. I guess I am over thinking it. I thought there was more to it.
An easy install....make sure you have the correct size breaker installed also....

Not bad at all. I did mine.
One suggestion, tape the edge of the hole with duct tape so you can shove your arm in there! I learned the hard way.

I took my old one off on Sunday. I wished I would have taped the hole. My arm is all cut up. Oh well though, I'm still getting an Ultrex so it is all good. I appreciate the input from you all.
