Rub rail insert replacement

As part of my restoration I decided to replace the rub rail insert on my 2001 Tracker 185. There has to be an easy way to get that insert threaded into the Tracker extrusion. Anyone have any thoughts? As far as I know Tracker is the only manufacturer to use that particular extrusion/insert.
