    hydrolic jack plates on ss

    What size and brand do you guys recommend I am going to start looking Ive heard of Bobs, and Hydro Dynamics both being good, just started reading on sea stars they dont sound bad either looking for some expert opinions and which set back is best for the ss with a 250 sport xs 1.62 sportmaster lower

    My new SST has a 14 inch hydrodynamic rapid Jack. Non hydrolic. I've never had a problem with rapid Jack's.

    Thats what mine has, Paul said no positive change with 14" in his testing.

    I don't think you could go wrong between a Bobs, Atlas, Hydrodynamics, or Detwiler. Really the only thing is certain is you want 12" of setback because the ss pad is sat 2" forward giving you 14" of total setback.

    12" is what you need on the SS. I am a Hydro Dynamics dealer...let me know if I can help.
