    Only 9 boats caught fish.
Lake is just stupid tough right now. And it’s coming up 4” of mud a day.

I’ve really only fished one day there this year. Had two for 6.75lbs. I feel damn lucky reading some of these. I know i fished a hell of a lot of good looking water that day without a sniff. Lol

As much as I’m not a fan of the IDNR, what does this weird ass spring weather have to do with them not managing the lakes? It sucks everywhere this spring. Not just Indiana.

Fishing has indeed sucked everywhere this spring, but Patoka has been a work in progress for several years. The fluctuating water level killing the grass, the stocking of millions of walleye and the constant desire to eradicate shad from the lake has managed to turn what was an almost decent bass fishing lake into the dead sea.

Let’s not forget the millions of yellow bass put in the lake. Those sure are a big help. They get about 5 inches long. Blast to catch. Why the hell would they wasted the time to put those in there?

Some rivers should have been left a river, Patoka is one of them.

But they were only built for flood control in the first place, not for recreational purposes. Don't believe me, just read the description of our reservoirs right from the DNR.

That’s a fair statement and one I’ve heard from the DNR many times......... I guess all that money made from fishing and camping just doesn’t amount to much!
