I need to replace my bunk boards on my 99 ZX202C tandem trailer and realized they are 2x4's. IDK if the previous owner changed them from 2x6's or if it came with 2x4's. Anyone have any idea which it should be?
Thanks

they should be 2x4 but only the boat maker can tell you for sure. I had cypress boards cut instead of going back w/pine. they are a true 2x4 except the width which I had cut down to the 3 3/4" or whatever they are now. it is a full 2" thickness though
Ultimate Boards in Georgia...synthetics...had on two ZX200s...the best way to go...no replacement ever, no tacks, no rust, no carpet ...
at least have them on the outside shorter boards...few guys even know of this option...

I have been told that the linear strength isn't as good on the "fake" wood boards. I'm no structural engineer but I did stay at a holiday inn express a few months ago
The new Supreme Ultimate Bunk Boards have the aluminium reinforcement to help with linear strength.
I posted in Trailers/Towing forum looking for more info on these as well...
I had 2 sets of the Ultimates on ZX200s with full 50 gallon tanks and T-loads...no issues...glad to see the reinforcement though...long overdue that all boatmakers offer these as an option...makes no sense after decades of same ole same ole...its like LED lights, their time is NOW.
