    SOLIX 2D TRANSDUCER

I am having a Solix 10 Mega SI installed on my console. Would like to add a 2D transom transducer with Y cable. My installer recommends the XNT 14 20 T saying better high speed performance. I have heard the new XM 14 20 MDI T is the one to get (low Q). Any opinions?
I also have a a Lowrance Carbon 12 3D on the console with an Airmar TM150 and a WSBL, both on the starboard transom.
The Solix will be for mapping along with any sonar functions I can use without interference with the Lowrance.

is what I use for my 2d reading. You will only get 140-240khz range though. There is not a true shoot thru puck version , it is transom mount or trolling motor mount

Are you happy with the XM 14 20 MDI T? I was told it's the only "low Q" transducer available for the Solix.

It is the ONLY one except for the trolling motor puck version-- XTM 14 20 MDI T. There is no SI or 2D version.

It's the same way for the Helix MEGA DI also.

How are you liking that XDCR so far Carl?

I'm pretty sure Wayne has been liking his - but I know you frequent deeper water more often, I'm sure it's great in under 20 - just curious.

I am curious also I was on the lake only once since installing it. I was able to zip across the lake and make sure I was getting readings on plane then the weather blew me back to the ramp. Winds have kept me off the water what few days I have had available to fish.

    Don't worry about it!

The past few days it's been between 10-14 degrees F in the mornings, I have been working 6 days a week and come Sunday - I've been using that day as designed.

My wife did get some good shots of the DNR collecting eggs - since I couldn't even do that with her!

    Here's a big old 15.4 lb "DraC-U-PercH", snow included...

Damn, and I have been complaining about the cold front this past weekend that dropped the temps to 31° from 85.

It is on the cable on a label near the plug.

Finally made it out in the wind. Havent fished in months and couldn't find any schools of stripers, but was able to test the new transom mount transducer. Not much but something

this one was while spot locked

Looks like a good shake down Carl.

Open that dawg up to 150-250kHz and crispy up the hook tails up a little!

I got ice & snow all over again...
