They were biting well Friday afternoon. Launching and loading from the parking lot wasn't so fun, but the fishing was good.

Wasn't great up in the north sections of indiana, weather has been pretty sporadic and winter fishing isn't my strength.
I really think 3 days of weather in the mid 50's and they would be on fire up here. I'm sure they'll be a tournament soon where it takes 20+ to win, and a bunch of limits. I keep meaning to go fish that lake where that happens every spring.

I still can't believe they actually won...Cubs Fans Everywhere
I'm sure., though you probably won't believe me when I tell you I caught many of the fish around the bases of cypress trees. Check out the range at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxodi...ress_range.jpg I was a good bit north east of the northernmost range shown on that map. It warmed up Friday afternoon and we hit the water. Water was 55 and fish were feeding in the flooded brush and timber. It was actually a pretty nice afternoon on the water.

I got my feelings hurt pretty bad at Patoka and i am gun shy to get back out there. Did manage a great trip in Panama City. Droppin on Sheephead. Sunny mid 70s all last week. Get home and UGH..... Even Barren River, Nolin and Rough in KY are still jacked up. Never fealt so negative about our area. 2018 is starting out rough..
I have spent 8 days on Patoka this year with one keeper and 4 short fish. Worst I’ve ever seen it.
I’ve fished from 6” to 25’ and just can’t get bit.
I am not delusional,
I see all illusions!
Patoka is tough. Been twice. First time skunked. 2nd Time two for 6.75 lbs. sucks
