    Rod Locker tube divider

On my V20, I was looking at taking out the hanging rod tube divider. Has anyone else done this or know how it can be done???

Yep 3 screws under the weather stripping. I texted my dealer Phillip at Hometown Narine in Center, Texas and he informed me of that info. Came right out and no damage to the stripping.

I hate rod tubes, if they can be removed I will.

Agreed! Mine kept flattening out my eyelets. They would rest on the second eyelet while in the tube. During travel they would flatten out and I broke a few trying to bend them back. Took the tubes out and all is well plus it hold a bunch more rods.

Are you talking about the rod tube holders in the port side rod box? I'm assuming not the ones in the center rod box?

I love the rod tubes. I use rod sleeves on each rod and have never had an issue. I couldn't stand all the rods sitting on each other and getting tangled together and the reels getting all scratched from sitting on each other. I wouldn't take the rod tubes out. Just take your time and use the rod socks/sleeves.

I have a 2017 V20 as well and the bottom and middle rows in the center locker are pretty useless in terms of length.
Cannot use them for 7 foot rods. Rods bottom out in tubes and then I am not able to get the reel side of the rod on the bracket where all the rods are suppose to rest on.

Do you guys have the same problem? Does the center rod tubes remove the same way?

    Thanks in advance

If you don’t have a flush mounted graph in the front you can pop the cover off and reach down to the tubes and pull the caps off the ones in the middle row. It will give you several more inches on most of them. I always stow my rods with rod socks and have never had a problem with them getting snagged on anything. It’s mostly foam that surrounds the rod tubes.

Ok I’ll try taking the caps off. I don’t have the snagging issues either jus the fact that they too short.
you say it’s mostly foam around them..does that mean the center rod tubes cannot be removed?

I had the same problem with the rod tube length when I first got my boat. My dealer just took a broom handle and popped out the caps. I can fit rods up to 7' 11" so far. I guess Legend thinks we all fish with Snoopy rods!

Awesome I think that’s a better trick. I don’t feel like removing the front fish finder plate as I have two unit mounted on there.
Anyway thanks for that tip..I’ll yry it
